A year after flying the nest, Alice has returned to Dataplan with new skills and a wider knowledge of the processes of payroll.
Alice began her Dataplan life in 2014 as a University Graduate, learning the ropes as a Payroll Processor before progressing to a Project Manager in 2016. She returns to us in 2018 as the Product Manager for all things Vera, our online Payroll, HR and Pension management system.
During her year away, Alice helped with the creation and expansion of an in-house payroll software, discovering the complex world of software development.
“Learning the back-end procedures of payroll processing systems has given me a much wider understanding of the complex and ever-changing rules surrounding payroll. Apprenticeship levy is just one example of how the payroll world has to constantly adapt and manage to new rules and regulations that are introduced each year. Being away has taught me how much work and commitment goes into making complicated procedures run seamlessly. I am really excited to expand my knowledge further and use these skills to develop Vera going forward”
